Help us support children and families in San Francisco.
Together, we can provide families with fresh produce and groceries for this year's holiday celebrations.
• $25 provides groceries to one family
• $50 purchases 60 pounds of fresh produce
• $100 supports 4 families' holiday meals
• $1,000 covers the cost of 1,200 lbs of food
Inflation and rising costs in San Francisco are having a significant impact on our families and the services that we provide. Grocery prices have gone up by 12.2% in the past year, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, increasing the number of households in San Francisco currently experiencing food insecurity.
To tackle these new challenges, Family Connections has expanded the resources that we offer, opening additional food and diaper pantries. Each month, over 200 households receive groceries and diapers through our Portola and Excelsior distributions.
We need your support to keep our food pantries open and this resource available to families in need. With your help, 400 households can receive boxes of groceries that include chickens, turkeys, and fresh produce from local farms for their holiday meals. Hundreds of parents and caregivers depend on our food pantry to feed the young children and elders in their homes.

For 30 years, Family Connections has provided early childhood education, summer and afterschool programs, and crucial assistance and support services to thousands of low-income children and families annually. Over 90% of the people that we serve qualify as low, very low, or extremely low-income. Our mission is to ensure that this community can access the care, education, and resources they need to develop healthy families and build thriving communities.
